TCustomGrid and all its descendants ... Find similar branches

If you stretch the first column (or the first after the fixed one) outside the Grid "a, then you will not return it back. I noticed this only on Delphi 3.02, Win 98.
Changed Paint from a homemade TDBGrid heir, but this is not a solution.
Does anyone know a more cardinal solution?
Write ... Thank you.

There is such an effect.
the first thing that came to mind
procedure TForm1.sg1MouseUp (Sender: TObject; Button: TMouseButton;
Shift: TShiftState; X, Y: Integer);
begin
if (sg1.Colwidths[1]+sg1.Colwidths[0])>sg1.Width then
sg1.ColWidths [1]: = 50;
end;

You pull the first column to the right, to the end of Grid, but you do not let go, but you pull it further. After that you move the mouse to its right edge, it becomes crHSplit, you pull to the left, but the size of the column does not decrease.
I have such a baida with all grids, incl. in DatabaseExplorer.
I returned to D3 with D5, I have never noticed anything like this before.
Delphi license :-( ...
