#### An interesting problem with related tables Find similar branches

koha!   (2009-11-26 06:18) [0]

There is a pivot table, it is filled with codes (keys) from other tables, then if one device is deleted in one of the linked tables (for example, devices), then it turns out that these devices will disappear in the whole summary table, since the code of this device has already been entered everywhere.
And what if the device was really incorrectly recorded and it really needs to be removed from the table and, for example, make a sudden table? How do such problems usually solve?

Usually they are not solved in any way, because no one simply has such “problems”.

Why move to another table? Isn’t it easier to store everything in one, and if you made a mistake in the additional details, simply fix them? while you do not need to delete anything, but everything will fall into place
