Tell me the answer to this question: there is a DBComboBox filled with values, the user selects the desired value and it is entered into the database. When you click on the "Next" button (go to the next record), an event must occur that is tied to the value of the DBComboBox.ItemIndex property
Simply put, with DBComboBox.ItemIndex = 0, one event occurs, with DBComboBox.ItemIndex = 1 another, etc. The fact is that when you click on the "Next" button, the DBComboBox.ItemIndex value is not updated, i.e. you need to forcefully select the value from DBComboBox (which is already in the database), only after that what is needed happens. Inconvenient. How to overcome this? Thank. Sorry for the clumsy explanation :)))

Try to replace in your code a call to ItemIndex with such ...
With DBComboBox1 do Items.IndexOf (DataSource.DataSet.FieldByName (DataField) .AsString);

I hope this helps ...
