Question on MIDAS. Find similar branches

Axel   (2001-12-03 18:05) [0]

And the question is ugly trivial. Situation:
On the server side are two TADOTable (master / detail), TDataSource, TDataSetProvider;
On the client side, a pair of TClientDataSet and a pair of TDataSource.

How to correctly apply ApplyUpdates on the client in nested TClientDataSet, if key field is autoincrement?

When I do ApplyUpdates, the following error occurs:
"Field IDxxx cannot be modified" (IDxxx - key field)
- and this is natural, because when Post (before ApplyUpdates) is done on the client (in nested), then IDxxx (key fields) = next current number of the nested TClientDataSet, but not an autoincrement value of the table in MS SQL Server .

Thank you.
